I am your guide through these vast new realities. Follow me and ponder the question… “What if?” When the Marvel logo appears, it changes into an animated form that matches the show’s art style. Adapted for Marvel Studios: Legends: Guardians of the Multiverse (2023). A very straightforward episode about rushing to put the pieces right into the puzzle. And my expressions were also pretty flat when I watched this episode because there was no tension or even logical narrative. I get that maybe it’s an animated show aimed at kids? But only kids who are familiar with all of the MCU up to this point can enjoy it. We’ll see how the rest of the episodes turn out, but I’m really not that excited about them after this one. Edit: Episode 2 gave a real sense of what the MCU is about, was creative and thoughtful with great WHAT IF moments. I thoroughly enjoyed watching T’s back on screen. However, episode 3 broke the deal and made me edit this review. It was so exciting and thrilling to watch that I could have watched the entire movie from this episode. It re-examined the characters we know to a level that will leave you wanting more. I hope you get a 10-star edit by the end of the season. Edit II: Here’s another star from “Weird” 39; still, this is a thought-provoking episode that was by far the best of the bunch in terms of writing, score, animation, and story. Special kudos to Benedict Cumberbatch for nailing the boss. Kudos to Marvel for doing that. However, in episode five, the episode was certainly fun, witty, and engaging with quality animation, but it also showed too much and didn’t give the audience enough time to absorb things. Still a 9/10 overall for the series until at least the next two episodes. They’ll have to beat episode 4 to get a 10 from me.
